1st half and 2nd are two different songs

I didnt like the vocals, in the 2nd half it sounds like cheap country techno :P
but panflute tries to keep it together and somehow it mades . so yeh :)

Krussi responds:

haha :D "cheap country techno" :D I lol'ed, but you're so right :D
I intend to remove the vocals and redo the lead melody, and make it into an original song instead of an remix.
Glad you liked it somewhat though :D

And thanks alot for the review, the "9" and your support Rarykos :D

Cheers

Funny, sounds unfinished

at first i thought it would be bad when i heard that bzzz and drums without any harmony. then around 1:00 it became nice, but still too noticeable bzzz. and i didnt lik the second half :)
so id say take out bzz, make it clearer , add some depth, maybe some bassline and it will be good :)

julius33 responds:

Without any harmony? Ok i really do NOT make music without harmony and there was no irritating buzz or whatever you heard there...
But maybe you just have speakers/headphones that cant make sound thats over 5000Hz?

Good

but i liked Back in time more :( .
Yeh, the problem is i think ive heard the first half of your song somewhere else. it reminded me of some crappy music etc, but the second half (starting with lyrics) is your usual greatness :) . Whats funny is that to me it sounds like first 2 minutes are just a really long introduction :P
good luck with your next piece !

SkyMarshall responds:

Thanks for the honesty man =) You might've heard the intro-melody before, if you've been around long enough. Its from an old ProTracker-module called "aurora.mod" from way back on the Amiga 500-trackers. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts - and glad you liked it. Much appreciated!

And thanks ... looking forward to doing the next piece!

The best of this week!

Really :)

It reminds me of Hychapte by Doki

it was used in Mindscape. But drums are your specialty :)

Krussi responds:

I recognize the name Doki, but not Mindscape or Hychapte :P Guess I'll google it ^^
Anyhow, thanks for the review the "8" and your support ^^

Has potential to be great :)

But so far eq is bad :(

I'd say A Distant Dream wins.

But theyre both good, and I almost couldnt see any differnce, they sounded like composed by the same person, with little changes :P
Mandy starts to sound like Jeremy Soule :)

MaestroRage responds:

There are similarities in styles between her and Jeremy I agree, though I fear she's not a big fan of Soule XD. Oh well, with good reason.

Thank you for your vote, i'm glad you liked the duel, thanks again for the review!

Thats really good

I just wonder wyh people made it around 3. Prehaps its too long :)
Nice tune.

Selcuk gets my point here.

The first part is a bit too cheesy, partially it sounded like walt disney's :P . The second one is nicer and its longer! :)

MaestroRage responds:

Thank you Rary for your input! Though to be honest I personally like Mandi's better here because of that very quality you mentioned. Disney, enchanted, adventurous. Mine might be longer, but I credit this largely due to the fact I relied on chord progressions to move along, which is a faster way to compose. It may result in less intricate design, but it's definitely a faster way to lay down a foundation.

Thanks for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Heh, I think Mandi won :)

The first piece is not usual. I heard that only sometimes, it was nice. But the second one is very similar to your other pieces.

MaestroRage responds:

I agree. I enjoy her style more here! Thank you for your vote :D! And again for the review, we're glad you enjoyed it!
