It turns out you can finish an old project because it's constantly bugging you and the feeling of abandoning a done (but shitty) game is terrible. So I spent a lot of time improving it, made sounds myself, mastered stock music and learnt how to make passable art.
I made a little calculation- it took 26 months to make it, it's linear, takes between 20 to 320 seconds to beat, that means every second of gameplay is worth somewhere between 3 and 39 days of development :O
I hope you like it and I'm quite glad to be posting something on Newgrounds again! Seeing as it's the place I grew up on and that inspired me to do amazing stuff. I like to think of this short game as a love letter to the golden age of flash games.
I hope you have a good day!
This is the game, it's a short, intense tower climber (tell me what you think ! ):
You Have 8 Bricks (aka Pitful of Squares, You Have 9 Bricks, Last Brick in the Wall, Bunny Tower, The Pit And I, Starling Tower)

I'm doing the exact same thing, and only today I vowed (again) to make significant progress with the aim of finally completing it! Solo projects are always a good test.
As for your game it's stylish and very well produced, you can be proud for sure.

I understand you completely haha! But it feels amazing to complete it even if the road is very rough. The biggest surprise was how difficult sound design is but still I only wish it took less time to do everything yourself.
Good luck with your project!
And thank you!
